In the article called "The trumpet of conscience" Martin Luther King junior narrates how the war between the United Sates and Vietnam was an important key in his movement. In the article he states that during the war he was able to see how unfair the government was being with the black people and that they even passed his expectations. He also says that the government was being unfair by sending the black people to fight and die for a country in which they did not have the same civil rights as the white people. In the article he stated that this was the number one factor that led him to really opened his eyes and see how the government was using the people that they had been discriminating for so long who they did not even allow to go to the same school as the white people or even seat in the same room . In this article he also states that he had to brake the silence and step up as the leader that he was for his people and the others minor group in this country.

The article called A Gas Station Burns in the Forest: Illuminating Our Moral Legacy written by David A. Shapiro describe a situation which his family had to faced when he was young. In the article he states that morality depends in the way your family raise you but that sometimes you have to go beyond your morality in order to protect and save your love ones from any danger. In his article he narrates that his family was a witness of a gas station's explosion while going in a road trip to go to a park. In the explosion, there were people in it who needed help but his dad pretended like nothing was going on and kept driving in order to prevent his family from being in danger too and also because he thought that the emergency crew were was going to be more helpful than him. In the article is very clear that this situation affected to the author's morality because til this day he believes that they could of have done something to help but instead his dad decided to walk away from the scene.

This story is ironic because instead of helping her to get better her captivity leads to insanity, and she began to see herself as a women that was trapped in the yellow wallpaper that covered the walls of the room she was captured.
